This unit is MaxiForce's standard style collapsible bollard. It is operated by turning a standard AWWA 5 sided hydrant nut about a 1/4 turn to allow the unit to lay down or collapse. Once collapsed the bollard body is only 3 5/8" off the ground easily allowing vehicles to pass over. To relock, you may simply lift the unit back to its upright position. This unit includes a standard style 1 head and a universal base. A standard style 1 head is a rectangular head that matches the bollard body in size and shape. A style 1 head has a 1" reveal or recess above the bollard body creating a unique look. All MaxiForce Traffic Control Bollard heads are removable, and thereby interchangeable. On a standard fixed bollard the head may be removed for filling the bollard with concrete and the head may be reattached for a normal appearance and increased strength. The Universal Base is the most flexible and secure base. It accepts both collapsible and removable bollards and allows you the capability to change your operation without having to change bases. The universal base is larger and heavier than the others and therefore is stronger and provides extra resistance.
